The double-head bending machine is specialized equipment designed for rebar bending. It features simple operation, easy maintenance and excellent cost-effectiveness, making it especially suitable for batch rebar processing at project sites and centralized rebar processing plants.

The bending heads feature a compact structure and cover a wide range of rebar sizes. They are driven by servo motors, enabling digital control of the bending length with fast response and high positioning accuracy. The bending motors are also servo-driven, ensuring accurate processing and energy efficiency, and multiple rebars can be bent simultaneously.

The bending platform is fitted with high-strength moving guide rails that are durable and resistant to deformation. A high-strength automatic stock rack feeds the raw rebar automatically, offering strong load capacity and greatly reducing labor intensity, thus enabling continuous production.

With such powerful performance, many of you may be wondering how to operate the CNC bending center. Let's find out with Zhongyi!

1. Power-On

Before powering on, check the appearance of all parts, whether the fastening bolts are loose, and whether the head traction chains are properly tensioned. Open the drain valves on both the air compressor tank and the equipment air tank to confirm that accumulated water has been drained. Switch on the equipment power; the "Power" indicator on the control panel lights up. Turn the "key switch" on the control panel to energize the equipment, start the air compressor so that the air pressure in the equipment tank reaches 0.5–0.6 MPa, and check the connected air hoses for leaks.

2. Manual Test Run

Enter the "Manual Screen" on the touchscreen. Test whether the left and right bending heads move properly and whether the bending shafts extend and retract correctly for up-and-down bending. Verify that the left and right head limit switches and home-position limit switches are reliable, and check that the head clamping is secure.

3. Parameter Setting

Based on the diameter of the rebar to be processed and the shapes to be produced, check and set the data in the "Parameter Setting Screen", and select whether to enable "Automatic Stock Feeding" and "Automatic Unloading".

4. Production Setting

Hoist the rebar to be processed onto the chain conveyor, then select and install the appropriate dies. In the "Production Screen", set the rebar length and the planned number of pieces. According to the rebar diameter, select the number of rebars to be processed per cycle, and adjust the length and angle compensation values for the left and right heads.

5. Shape Setting

There are two ways to set the shapes:

Method 1: In the two "Production Screens", draw the shape according to the rebar bending data, then press the "Save" and "Produce" keys to store the data.Method 2: If the "Shape Library" contains shapes saved from previous production, open the "Shape Library" to recall the saved shape, click the "Extract" button to load it into the "Production Screen", and then open the "Production Screen". If some data does not match the current production parameters, edit it and press the "Save" key to store the data.

After the shape is set, press the "Produce" confirmation key to start production.

6. Return to Home Position

Set the "Manual/Auto" selector switch on the control panel to the middle neutral position, and press the "Return to Reference (Home)" button so that the left and right bending heads and the bending shafts return to their home positions.

7. Test Run and Trial Production

Step on the right pedal of the dual foot switch (keep your hand on the emergency stop button at this point, as the machine is being energized — be careful). The left and right heads move to the work start position. Step on the right pedal a second time: the middle clamping cylinder performs the clamping action (clamping the rebar). Step on the right pedal a third time: start the rebar processing program and observe whether the left and right heads move according to the set lengths and whether the bending shafts work according to the set angles. After all bending actions of the left and right heads are completed, step on the left pedal of the dual foot switch to release the middle clamping cylinder (releasing the rebar). This constitutes a no-load test run.

Once automatic operation is confirmed to work normally, load rebar and run a trial production. Measure whether the processed rebar meets the drawing requirements. If not, correct the compensation parameters of the production shape on the screen until qualified products are produced, and then proceed with batch production.
